At Ananda's Seva Sadana Trust, we believe that true sustainability means working in harmony with nature. Our 150 Trees Green Mission is one of the most impactful programs we have launched — an initiative to plant 150 fruit-bearing trees within and around our Goushala premises.
Why Fruit Trees?
Fruit trees serve a dual purpose. First, they provide natural, nutritious supplementary food for our cows and other animals. Fallen mangoes, guavas, and bananas are a natural delight for cattle and provide essential vitamins. Second, the trees create natural shade, dramatically reducing heat stress on animals during Karnataka's intense summers.
Trees We Are Planting
- Mango (Aam) — 50 trees. Provides shade and fruit rich in Vitamin C and A for cows and humans alike.
- Guava (Amrood) — 40 trees. Fast-growing, drought-resistant, and produces fruit year-round.
- Banana (Kela) — 30 trees. Every part of the banana plant — from fruit to leaves to trunk — is useful for cow feeding.
- Indian Gooseberry (Amla) — 20 trees. Sacred in Indian culture and a powerhouse of nutrients.
- Neem (Azadirachta Indica) — 10 trees. Natural pest repellent and medicinal, keeping the Goushala environment healthy.
How You Can Participate
For just Rs 1,001, you can sponsor the planting of one fruit tree in the name of a loved one, an ancestor, or for your own spiritual merit. You will receive a personalized certificate with the tree GPS location and can follow its growth on our annual updates.
This is not just an environmental act — it is an act of dharma, of giving life to nature so that nature may give back to all living beings.
